Non Owners SR22 Insurance

Reader’s Question:

My daughter has non-owners sr22, so she can drive my vehicle to work and back. She is thinking about getting a motorcycle. Will she still be able to drive my vehicle on that same insurance if she changes her insurance, and puts it on a motorcycle? We live in Babylon, NY.

A motorcycle is technically not an automobile, because a motorcycle does not have four wheels. He can also add a ‘Miscellaneous Type Vehicle’ endorsement to her current personal auto insurance policy. This endorsement will permit her to cover her motorcycle on her current non-owners sr22 policy. If she is unable to do this endorsement, she will need to take out an insurance policy that is separate from his non-owner sr22 policy and keep his non-owner sr22 policy in force.

She may check different ca insurance website to make comparison shop. This is a great way to get a cheaper auto insurance rate.
