Non Owner Auto Insurance
Reader’s Question:
If I want to learn to drive, and I do not own my own car, do I need auto insurance? How do I get car insurance if I do not own a car?

Most states will require you be insured if you going to be operating a vehicle – even if you are just learning to drive. Now, you can be listed on someone else’s policy as a motorist for that insured’s car. Plus, if you want car insurance, however do not own a car, you may want to buy a ‘non-owner’ policy. This insurance policy will provide coverage for liability, medical payments and uninsured motorist coverages for someone who does not own a car and will be driving a vehicle owned by someone else.
